Gift codes and campaign codes

What a ForestVPN gift or campaign code does, how to enter one, what each message means when a code is refused, and where Apple and Google Play codes belong.

A ForestVPN gift or campaign code adds Premium for a fixed number of days. It charges nothing, and it does not stack on live Premium: if you already have Premium, the code is not used. Spaces, dashes and capital letters in a code do not matter.

The two kinds of code

  • A gift code starts with FV and comes in four groups of five characters. Each gift code works once.
  • A campaign code is a short code of letters and digits that ForestVPN chooses and shares with many people. It works once per account and once per device, and a very new device may not be eligible.

Enter a code in the Android app

Open the ForestVPN assistant in the app and type or paste the code. The assistant asks you to confirm adding the days, and then Premium is on for that many days. A Google Play promo code is different: redeem it in the Play Store itself, under Payments and subscriptions.

Enter a code on the web

On the web, sign in to the console, open Subscription, and choose Have a code? Redeem it. Paste the code and choose Redeem. The days are added to every device signed in to the account.

In the Apple apps

ForestVPN codes can't be used in the Apple apps.

When a code is refused

  • "We couldn't find this code. Check it and try again." The code was mistyped, has expired, or has no uses left. On Android the message also reminds you that a Google Play code is redeemed in the Play Store.
  • "You already have Premium, so this code wasn't used." A code does not stack on live Premium.
  • "This offer was already used on this account or device." Each offer works once per account and device.
  • "This code can't be used on this device yet." The code is not available to this device yet.
  • "Codes can't be redeemed right now. Try again later." Redeeming is paused; nothing is wrong with your code.

If none of this fits, write to support with a support code from Account → Get help. Never send your account number.
