Features
What ForestVPN does, and where it stops
One page for each feature. Each says where it exists, what the plans change and what it cannot do.
The connection
- A connection status that names what is wrong
- Eight verdicts from the tunnel's own counters, and the layer at fault.
- Backup route: when the direct route is blocked
- A second road for networks that block VPNs, with its own monthly allowance.
- Kill switch: block traffic if the tunnel drops
- Traffic stops instead of leaving unprotected. Never described as absolute.
- Split tunneling: choose what skips the VPN
- On Android pick apps, on Windows and Linux pick IP ranges. Not on iPhone, iPad or Mac.
- Quantum protocol: a proven handshake, little CPU
- An unmodified handshake, measured on real routers, losses included.
Your devices and network
- Connect your own devices
- One private network for your devices, names instead of addresses, and failover between your exits.
- Share a device with a person you name
- Time-limited, revocable access for one named person.
- Put ForestVPN on your router
- A whole home through one tunnel. MikroTik today, as a RouterOS container.
Your account
- No sign-up: your account is a number
- No email, no password. An optional 32-character number.
