    Open the Google Play page

    Tap the Google Play badge above on your device, or search Google Play for ForestVPN by Digital Services LLC.

    Install the app

    Tap Install. It is free to start; Premium is optional.

  3. 03

    Allow the VPN connection

    The first time you connect, Android asks you to allow a VPN connection. Allow it.

    Press Connect

    Open ForestVPN and press Connect. Free needs no sign-up, no email and no password.

  2. 02

    Choose a location

    Pick where you want to appear from the location list. Premium unlocks more of it.

  3. 03

    Use the same Premium elsewhere

    On another device, enter your account number to sign in. Restore on a new device explains it.

Add the ForestVPN tile to connect and disconnect from the notification shade.

Put a ForestVPN widget on your home screen.
Automation
Connect and disconnect from automation apps.
Split tunneling
Choose which apps skip the VPN.
Kill switch
ForestVPN blocks traffic while the tunnel is down. For the strictest setting also turn on Android’s own “Block connections without VPN”. Neither is absolute.

Not on Android: Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center. They are Apple features.

Is it free?
Yes to start. The Free plan allows 2 GB per connection and 5 connections a day, with no sign-up. Premium is optional and bought through Google Play or on the web.
Which Android versions are supported?
Android 9 (API level 28) and later, on phones and tablets. Android TV uses the same Google Play listing.
Do I need an account?
Not to connect. If you buy Premium, you get a 32-character account number that signs you in on your other devices. Keep it safe: we cannot recover it for you.
