    Open the App Store page

    Tap the App Store badge above, or search the App Store for ForestVPN by Digital Services LLC.

    Get the app

    Tap Get. It is free to start; Premium is optional.

  3. 03

    Allow the VPN configuration

    The first time you connect, iOS asks to add a VPN configuration. Allow it.

    Press Connect

    Open ForestVPN and press Connect. Free needs no sign-up, no email and no password.

  2. 02

    Choose a location

    Pick where you want to appear from the location list. Premium unlocks more of it.

  3. 03

    Use the same Premium elsewhere

    On another device, enter your account number to sign in. Restore on a new device explains it.

Connect on demand
The app can have iOS start the connection for you instead of you tapping Connect.
Shortcuts and Siri
Connect and disconnect from the Shortcuts app, or by asking Siri.
Control Center
Switch the connection from a Control Center control.
Kill switch
With “route all apps” on, iOS blocks traffic outside the tunnel while ForestVPN is connected. iOS gives no way to stop every single packet, so this is not absolute.

Not on iPhone yet: split tunneling, choosing which apps skip the VPN. It exists on Android, Windows and Linux.

Is it free?
Yes to start. The Free plan allows 2 GB per connection and 5 connections a day, with no sign-up. Premium is optional and bought through Apple or on the web.
Which iPhones can run it?
Any iPhone that can run iOS 18.0 or later.
Do I need an account?
Not to connect. If you buy Premium, you get a 32-character account number that signs you in on your other devices. Keep it safe: we cannot recover it for you.
Does it also work on iPad and Mac?
Yes. It is one App Store listing with one purchase for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
