Something went wrong (bad request): what the ForestVPN message cp.bad_request means, why it appears and what to do about it.

The app says: "Something went wrong."
What it means
ForestVPN's service did not understand a request the app sent. On the link and pair screens the app adds the code, so a screenshot says which refusal it was.
What to do
Try again in a minute. If it keeps happening, use Report a problem in the app and quote the code.
Why it happens
Something went wrong at our end, not on your device. An out-of-date app can cause it too.
Where you see it
The ForestVPN apps show this message where the step that failed happened. The code is cp.bad_request.
