This location is not available right now: what the ForestVPN message cp.no_candidate means, why it appears and what to do about it.
Updated October 11, 2026
The app says: "isn't available right now"
What it means
No server in the location you chose can take a connection at the moment.
What to do
Connect to another location (the app offers one), or try this one again in a few minutes.
Why it happens
Most locations have one server. If it refuses, the whole location is unavailable until it recovers.
Where you see it
The ForestVPN apps show this message on the connection screen, and in a notification when it affects your connection. The code is cp.no_candidate.
