Billing & subscriptions
Understand your ForestVPN plan, manage your subscription, read invoices, and cancel any time.
This guide covers how ForestVPN billing works: choosing a plan, reading your invoices, updating payment details, and cancelling whenever you like.
Plans
ForestVPN offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans raise your device limit, unlock more locations, and add private mesh capacity. You can compare plans on the pricing page and change tiers at any time from the dashboard.
When you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and your next invoice is prorated. When you downgrade, the new tier applies at the start of your next billing period.
Manage your subscription
From the dashboard, open Billing to:
- See your current plan and renewal date.
- Update your payment method.
- Switch plans or change billing frequency.

Every charge produces an invoice you can view and download from the Billing page. Each invoice lists the plan, the period it covers, taxes where applicable, and the payment method used.
Receipts and taxes
Invoices double as receipts. If you need a tax ID or company name on them, add your billing details before your next renewal and they will appear on future invoices.
Cancel any time
You can cancel from the Billing page. Cancellation stops the next renewal — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account drops to the free tier. Nothing is deleted; your devices and vspaces stay, subject to the free-tier limits.
