This policy explains how ForestVPN uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and apps. It complements our Privacy Policy. In keeping with our no-logs stance, we keep cookie use to the minimum needed to make the Service work and, only with your consent, to understand in aggregate how the site is used. 1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies — such as local storage and pixels — work the same way. They let a site remember information between page loads, such as whether you are signed in or which preferences you have set.

2. Categories we use

We group cookies and similar storage into three categories. Non-essential categories stay off by default and only run after you accept them.

Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless and anonymous by design — it does not set a cookie, does not fingerprint you, and only runs after you grant the Analytics category. If you never opt in, no analytics script is loaded at all.

4. Third parties

A small number of trusted providers may set cookies strictly to deliver parts of the Service — for example our payment processors (Stripe, CloudPayments), our single-sign-on and identity providers, and our edge/network provider (Cloudflare). These are governed by the providers' own policies and are limited to operating the Service. We do not embed third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. How to control cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

• In the consent banner. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential categories, or open Preferences to choose per category. Your choice is remembered and you can reopen it any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.
• In your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop parts of the Service from working, such as staying signed in.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the version and effective date shown at the top of this page, and — where the change affects the categories you can choose — ask for your consent again.
