Trust & privacy

What we log. What we don't. Nothing in between.

ForestVPN is built around one idea: the safest data is the data we never collect. This page is the specific, verifiable version of that claim — the same boundary described in our privacy policy, in plain terms.

The no-logs boundary, in one table

BROWSING HISTORY
not stored
DNS QUERIES
not stored
DESTINATION HOSTS & IPS
not stored
CONNECTION STATE
live only

This is architecture, not a policy switch

That boundary is built into the system, not a setting you toggle: the connection-metadata table that meters usage has no destination, hostname, DNS, or content column at all. There is nothing to log because there is nowhere in the schema to put it.

What we do handle

A short, complete list — nothing beyond what's below.

Account
Your email address and account status. If you sign in with Apple, Google, or an organization's SSO, we store the identifier that provider returns and the claim set from your last sign-in.
Devices
A device name, platform, and the public key it uses to join the network. We never hold your device's private keys, and never the contents of anything it sends or receives.
Usage counters
Aggregate byte and packet counters per session — timestamp, account, device, region, and direction — to enforce plan limits and bill metered plans. This is a usage meter, not an activity log. Raw counters are deleted automatically after 90 days.
Billing
Limited billing metadata from our payment providers — plan, status, card brand, and card country. The full card number is held by the provider, never by us.

Where this is operated
